Hi. My name is Claude Russell. Welcome to my web site. I open from 5 am in the mornings so come on in and get your hair cut on your way to work. Be ready for a great haircut and a few funny stories along the way. You can rest assured that I'll have you out before dark!

Claude Russell went to barber school to learn how to cut hair. Then he went to beauty school to learn how to leave some. If the truth be known, he could probably charge admission.

He doesn't set appointments. The door opens at 5 am and locks at 4 pm in the afternoon. Then he cuts his way out (barber humor) and heads home.

He tells the same jokes over and over. He greets customers as they walk in the door.... 'Hey hip, where ya been?' Or something like, 'Come on in, I'll have ya out before dark!'

Once the State Barber Shop Inspector was in and Claude talked her into sweeping the floor! (Don't be surprised if you're next.)

His shop has been featured in USA Today, as one of the Top 10 Barber Shops in America! Senator Ron Ramsey and State Representative Jason Mumpower presented him with a proclamation from the Tennessee House of Representatives. He's been featured numerous times in the Kingsport Times-News and is a local celebrity on both radio and TV.

A silent haircut is FREE. (Claude doesn't talk).... THAT'S NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!

If you are age 90 or older, come in with your Dad and you both receive a free haircut!

Be certain to ask Claude about your last haircut.

He keeps saying he's going to buy a level with a laser so he can get the sideburns right.

Come early, stay late. Look at the pictures on the wall and the ones he hasn't had time to put up yet. Read the paper, your favorite magazine, have a cup of coffee or a Coke and a pack of nabs. The coffee is free. The Cokes are 50 cents each or two for $1.25.

Oh and while you're there, be sure to get an official Claude Russell left handed comb.

And as you are leaving he will remind you, 'Come back in 2 weeks or send money!'
